I was reading in Real Simple that the best way to make your handbags last longer is to put them on shelves. Hanging them will wear out the handle thus cutting their life down. I use the door hangers to hang my bags but have moved the few coveted pieces to the shelf. Also, I use a slack hanger (the hanger with multiple bars) to hang my necklaces, earrings, bracelets and some scarfs. The effect is pretty and artsy. All for a steal of five dollars for the hanger I’ll email you a pic!

be careful! some fabrics are light sensitive and will get ruined if they’re exposed to sunlight for long periods.

This is an ingenious idea. I’ve been trying to find ways to organize my handbag collection rather than tossing them on the top shelf of my closet. Why not use them as wall art?

Those 3M wall hooks are the business too. I would find a gazillion ways to use them. Great tip!

Wish I’d come across those hooks before creating my wall-o-necklaces. It looks pretty now, but there will be a lot of stupid holes to fill in with toothpaste when I move.
