On one of my trips to Telluride’s Pip’s Consignment last week, I photographed this item of note:

This $50 flared corduroy number’s funky-fab vibe is similar to McQueen’s plaid miniskirt, except the latter goes for $255 on Bluefly (‘ultimate hook-up’ my ASS).
Okay, okay, McQueen at consignment is obvs cheaper than new McQueen – it’s resale, duh – but how does it compare to Alexander McQueen for Target? Surely, a skirt from his Target line must be cheaper… Right?
Technically, yes. The High-Waist Gore Skirt from his Target “collection” retails for $49.99 and as such, is a whopping one cent cheaper than the pale pink, corduroy, flared number I found at Pip’s.
I mean, it’s not nearly as unique or environmentally-friendly as its resale counterpart, but it saves you one whole cent!
Pfft.

It’s pretty annoying that the McQueen/Target pieces are SO much more expensive than previous collaborations … especially because you KNOW they’re still going to be crap-quality.
Better to get the real thing, used!
