Wah wah, I don’t live in New York, my local Salvation Army/Goodwill/Buff Exchange/et. al is a hot mess of fugly bologna. All of you Philly locals can ferme le bouches now. Let’s talk about Greene Street Consignment.
This untapped gem is located on South Street’s 700 block, and borders the dodgy portion of the ‘hood. The shop’s location might be slightly sketchy; the merch is anything but.

(I didn’t have time to browse the shoe section. Tragic, I know.)
I usually use the denim rack to gauge the degree of brandtasticness of a given store, and was initially discouraged by the subpar jean selection. Thankfully, I turned my attention to tops and tees, and found a bevy of secondhand fabulosity. See below.

The versatility of the Velvet Top is basically unmatched; it’s long enough to de-sluttify short shorts or a miniskirt, thin enough to layer over OR under other tops, and I’m all kinds of obsessed with navy blue as of late. Re: the cream Ralph Lauren Black Label Top, I have two words: Off-shoulder and lace. Long. Live. The. Eighties.
In my experience, Velvet tops retail for around $100. The average retail price of RL Black Label tops is too nauseating to type this early in the AM; just know that it’s reeeeeally offensive. What’s the re-sale cost of the aforementioned brands? So glad you asked.

$22.00 and $16.00, respectively. BOOYAH.
Bebe dresses might err on the side of trashy (not that there’s anything wrong with that…), but the jackets are a different story. See the killer white ruched zip-up below.

The jacket in question probs would have cost upwards of $120 at a Bebe store. At Greene Street Consignment, it was priced at $18.00.
My biggest score of the day requires another post altogether, as its price/brand differential speaks to a larger thriftastic theme.
Try not to let the suspense kill you, and stay tuned.

1. I LOVE THIS NEW SETUP! It’s gorgeous. Very nice.
2. I’m still in awe with your patience at thrifties. I get so frustrated since carrying all of my awesome finds means my arms are exhausted.
PS. On Ideeli today, David Pliner shoes and bags are on sale…and the lowest price is 89! Pfft.
1. site looks awesome.
2. if i wasn’t 24 hours from the bar exam i would be really annoyed i wasn’t informed that you were in my hood.
3. obviously i haven’t been to this store, but will head over when i get my life back (i.e. friday)

That bebe jacket looks amazing…and for $18 that’s simply a steal! The blue velvet top is adorable and so versatile. I’m gonna try and find a consignment store near me that offers incredible stuff like what you got but not sure I can find it here.
