Ruffle Tank Turned Dress

I found this Sheer Striped Ruffle Tier Top earlier this summer at Forever 21. I tried it on in a Medium; it fit, but its length was more tunic than dress. I’m not about to don a top that requires leggings in 95 degrees + humidity if a bare-legged alternative exists.

I rediscovered the aforementioned Ruffle Tier Top a few weeks ago, in size L. It was a bit loose about the armpit area, but the length screamed minidress. YES.

I paid my $19.80, got it home, belted it for shape, and voila!

The top’s few bucks less online (go figure); also only available in gray. Then again, gray’s more fall-friendly. Perhaps I’ll buy another to pair with tights and boots when the urban sauna that is the NYC summer finally breaks.
