My eff-the-promotional-emails stance has a few exceptions. In a word: Tights – Sculptz in this case. The shapewear brand snagged my attention for the following reasons:
1. The line boasts camis, leggings, bras and shorts in addition to hosiery
2. The 25% off EVERYTHING sale starts today (exp. 2/1/10)
3. The name sounds kind of Yiddish – me likey
(BONUS ALERT: Sculptz is made in the U.S.A., and regularly donates moolah and merch to The Holy Angels of Belmont, its charity of choice. I’m a sucker for that socially-conscious shiznat.)
Here’s what I’m contemplating:
Chevron Opaque Shaper Top, $21 (reduced from $27). It really looks like a tire! (except hotter); Herringbone Opaque Shaper Top, $21 (from $27); Two-Carat Diamond Sheers, $21 (from $27).
Based on its product descriptions and JPEGS, Sculptz looks like a slightly cheaper answer to Spanx a.k.a. possibly too good to be true.
Has anyone tried their stuff? If so, kindly write in and tell us what the dilly is. I’m sure the 25% off sale comes with a no-returns policy, as is usually the case in the land o’ ecommerce; I’m not about to buy blind.
(But I’m really very tempted right now so pleeeeease someone, anyone, ARE SCULPTZ AS AMAZING AS THEY SOUND?!)

i’m on it. i obviously just ordered more than i needed to try, considering i wear spanx every single day
Yet another shapewear line that won’t make their camis any smaller than a 4-6. Balls to that! Small people have flab, too.
Yes, they really work. Even my husband noticed. And they really are comfortable. I have the shaper shorts and several pairs of tights.
update: i have to be honest – i tried on the tights and they were pretty tight (a good thing. the tighter, the better, i say) but i haven’t had a chance to wear them yet – don’t want to waste their newness on wearing them to work. they will be tried this weekend
